|“I’m sure you have noticed that, as a general rule,
people with nothing to do want to do it with you.”
Time wasters are people or activities that consume minutes or hours without returning results. We may waste our own time with office chitchat or web surfing, or we may have our time wasted by others who distract us from our work. Business owners and managers often find their employees wasting time on non-work activities, like Facebook, YouTube, or conducting personal business. All of these add up to many hours spent on not doing what we ultimately get paid for.
By the end of this course, you will understand the following:
- How much time you are wasting
- Common activities classed as time wasters
- Ways of avoiding these time wasting activities
- How to prevent people from wasting your time
We know that different people like to learn in different ways. If you like to write notes as you work through a course, here’s a handy study guide (.PDF) for you, in printable or “fillable” form. Use the printable version if you would like to print out the study guide and write down your notes. Or, if you prefer to use a PDF reader you can take notes on your favorite handheld device using the “fillable” version.
