3.6 Time Chunking

Course Overview

Most people would like to increase their productivity. We start each day with good intentions and a to-do list, but more often than not, we end the day having done few – if any – of the things we planned yet, we were busy all day! Where does the time go?

You may have a to-do list, but chances are it’s just a list of things you want to get to “sometime today.” Then interruptions, competing priorities, and emergencies pop up and “sometime today” gets pushed back to “after lunch,” or “before I leave,” and eventually “maybe tomorrow.”

The best way to get something done is to set aside a specific time to do it. One of the most popular methods of doing this is called time chunking.
