Write in your journal about the activity described below.

Later we will introduce several different tools you can use with Gmail. To avoid getting overwhelmed or spending time fiddling around with apps you don’t really need, it is a good idea to spend some time now gaining clarity on where your challenges are and what might help. Then you will know the right solutions for you when you see them!

Spend 10 minutes journaling on how you currently approach your email inbox. How do you feel about reading and writing emails? How do you feel about the volume of emails you receive? What would you love to change or get rid of with regards to emails? What would make your email experience easier or more enjoyable? This is a blue sky thinking exercise so let yourself think outside of the (in)box!
